You know if you Google cougar the first item is not the animal, in fact 7 out of the top 10 are about older ladies hunting younger men. It’s really a shame too because cougars are beautiful majestic animals that deserve more reverence. I’m sorry I just don’t see the big deal about older ladies fucking around with younger guys. Actually biologically it makes a lot of sense.

Shouldn’t the two age groups that can’t get enough sex be fucking each other? Of course technically a cougar is defined as a woman of 40 who pursues younger men. Oh and did you know there is actually an equation (rule of thumb really) that social scientists use to put you into a category based on your sexual relationship. In addition this equation will generally tell you if your relationship will be viewed as “normal”?

That’s your cutoff. So if you’re 30 then your significant other better be older than 22. Just an example if there are some ladies out there looking for a socially acceptable relationship with me. So in this case study of the cougar phenomenon the youngest of cougars (40) cannot dip lower than 27 for her den mate to be considered “normal”. So obviously if it’s not normal we have to make a TV franchise out of it. Yes it has swept the nation the cougar storyline. Finally older women can get married have kids get divorced and still have something else to look forward to. Its inspired hopes in millions of middle aged women and high school boys. Finally in the land of the free maybe we really do have a chance with the teacher. It’s equal opportunity for all finally. I remember one time in high school I had an intern teacher lady and her boyfriend showed up to drop something off for her. I remember thinking “I’m cooler than that guy.”

I’m a huge fan a of the study of language and its application in culture, and this I find to be another new word that shows us just who we really are as people. Men have forever had younger women pretty much on a whim. There are some limitations and expectations of course, but largely it’s not even really that socially unacceptable to have a large age difference in these type of sexual relationships. Ask a woman what she likes in an older man you’ll basically get the same answer as why young men like cougars. This whole thing is really not that hard to see, yet we all stand around and point fingers. The template is the same for both sexes and what this tells us is less about horny older ladies and eager young men and more about the continued evolution of sex and relationships on our culture.

More and more I see women pursuing what they want in regards to sexual relationships. I’m not going to say in my day girls were all sexually prudent they weren’t they were the same mix as is today and there has always been. The difference I see is there is more openness to say what it is they want and who they are. I know people struggle in the closet still and society still for some reason seems to believe that gay people don’t have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us in eternal companionship, but I believe we’re moving to a more open and accepting world in this regard. And surely no one would argue that there are not more places and forums for people now than in most of modern history.

This generation of men coming up seems to be less homophobic and macho, yet not totally douche metro like the previous 10 years. They seem able to be more comfortable in their sexuality no matter what it may be. The one’s I talk to seems reasonable about relationships more than I’ve seen from most generations. This ability to tell their significant other about the true nature of the relationship and I think they’re finding it works. More open realistic relationship structures that if they didn’t involve relentless pursuit of sex mostly, a lot of parents might approve of.

I’m crossing my fingers that this could open up the window for younger women to see that sexy and classy can actually go together. Believe it or not you acting and dressing like a total skank is actually making me think less of you. I can’t help it I want to believe you’re just playing dress-up to attract men but you look and act like a whore, and that makes me want to give you money in exchange for sex. The point is these younger men are seeking these older women not because of face lifts or boob jobs alone. They are seeking an experienced, mature, possibly more financially responsible, intelligent, and probably because they like a little bit of that old school woman. You know nurturing and compassionate like their mother hopefully was. Men have gotten away with this quo de sex for centuries now. We define ourselves around purpose, providing, status. Women have been too tied to their looks as things to find attractive in a mate. Being good looking is just less important.

If I was a trophy wife and I got divorced and my ex-husband married some younger women WTF. What the Fuck is the difference. He gets half she gets half and both get young upgrades in the bedroom. When do circumstances come into play here too? TV likes to show the hunt of younger men, but I know plenty of guys just waiting for some ladies to get divorced to move in. If you have a relationship with someone and its jive then you both become available surely nature will take its course no matter the age parameters. It’s who and what we are. We like to fuck and ideally we’d like to fuck what we want to fuck. If it’s wrong then why don’t I see shame in nature? Why would we be wired the way we are and then deny our true nature? Sex is all around us all the time. We’re turned on and off second by second as we come in contact with each other. If there was simple equation we’d have it by now, and people could stop writing love songs.
